Currently delighting international audiences with their energetic live show, Jape is set to release ‘Scorpio’, the second single from their captivating new album, Ocean of Frequency. Using an innovative mix of live instruments, hardware samplers and sequencers, the band knits together an eclectic blend of meticulously crafted lyrics and electronic rhythms that flit comfortably across a myriad of genres.

The catchiest song on the album, ‘Scorpio’ also happens to be the most-stripped back of the 12 tracks. Driven by an instantly memorable acoustic guitar, the melodic rhythm is accompanied by Egan’s soft yet rich vocals, creating a song that is both warm and haunting. As the front-man explains – “We took a drive up around the Hellfire Club one day and there were definitely spirits in the air. They came back to our house in the car boot and helped me write this one.”
